Reconciliation action for Health Q

Updated: Jun 16, 2023

We are proud to be formalising our reconciliation journey through the release of our “reflect” reconciliation action plan (RAP) in November 2022. Reconciliation Australia describes reconciliation as being “… about strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians”.

Taking action on reconciliation is important to us. We work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations to improve health and wellbeing outcomes. In our work we have visited the lands of the following Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples:

Kaurna, Nukunu, Nawu, Banggarla, Kuyani, Wirangu, Ngarrindjeri, Kokatha, Andyamathanha, Arabana, Antakarinja, Woiworung, Gadigal

Our Reflect RAP is for 12 months and sets out our actions to progress reconciliation and inform future RAPs. We will develop relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders, decide on your vision for reconciliation and explore our sphere of influence.
